Re: Knife Identification navaja
Re: Knife Identification navaja
Hi there.found this in an antique shop in gibraltar a navaga knife which at first thought it was spanish but after a lot of research have found it to be an 19th century french navaja made by Ed mongin from Paris. Quite rare I think.
Re: Knife Identification navaja
Don't know much about the knife you have but you spelled it "navaja" & "navaga" and navaja is actually Spanish for knife. I've seen a couple of different model navajas on ebay, shaped like yours. Some very colorful ones and large too.
Re: Knife Identification navaja
Hi done research on this French (navaja) and Ed mongin was a French knife maker and apparently Navaja, s where not only made in Spain but also in France and Italy incase you where unaware of that, Also many foreign ships used to visit Gibraltar.
