Carl Eickhorn Ornate Stag Sword-(Help)

Post by stagman »

Howdy guys...I picked this sword up at a auction I went to that had a lot
of Marble's knives, matchboxes, compass's, etc.
I just could not resist it...I know nothing about them and the little time I spent
looking on the net, geeze, I seen them very similar from $500.00 to $4000.00
This one has the left facing squirrel stamp inside a oval with CE in it
Paper on the sword says 1921-1933 on it
Other side says: Ges. Geschulzl looks like...
the blade is engraved from top to bottom with stags bugleling, chasing does, birds, dogs,
just a lot goin on....
as you can see the stag handle has brass acorns on it and guard is 2 hoofs pointing in opposite directions
Anybody got a idea what this thing might be worth ???
Thanks for taking your time to look at this and give me a little help if possible

Will

Will, very nice formal wear or award sword probably made for a "Jagermiester". I think your date is about right 1920's or 30's , pretty sure it is pre war. Prices vary a lot on these, so I don't have any help on that except it worth what ever you paid for it ::ds:: Nice find! Terry
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
