As with alot of Native American lithic tools, most stones like that were used for a multitude of tasks. From cracking open bones for the marrow or nuts for the meats, to use as a grinding stone for the nuts or grains and herbs. Some were also used to heat liquids. The stone was heated in the fire then dropped in to a vessel of liquid, usually a broth or stew. However, most of the cooking stones will show signs of having been heated. Nice find, congrats!

Hi I think that your find is a scraping tool.
Nice find, I have found some similar in San
Diego county Calif with the same edges.
Keep on Looking!
