These were used to cut the wire cage holding champagne corks. This example was made by Thomas Turner & co Sheffield circa late 1800s. It also has a brush for dusting the bottle from the cellar. :D s-k

:lol: you are correct Johnnie.

This must be a delux 'professional version'. Along with the snippers and the brush, it has a cork gripper and a serrated end for cutting wax/foil. :D s-k

Unfortunately, this one is unmarked. A number of companies made this type of tool so don't know who made it ::shrug:: . :D s-k

Just acquired this champagne tool. It is marked with the Royal Warrant for William the IV 1830-1837. I'm still looking for information on Evans London Bridge. :D s-k

I can't help with the company, but those are some interesting tools, one certainly doesn't encounter such things too often, thanks for showing. ::tu::

Thanks to all for your interest. Some smaller pocket nippers. These were common promo items circa late 1800s -early 1900s.. The middle one doubles as a cigar cutter.

Nice one SK! ::tu::
Very unusual too.

I have a bunch of cigar cutters.
I am going to do an article for the club news letter on then when I get around to it.
When I do I will post some pics.
