Re: Interesting use of 27 hatchets
I estimate just under 30 pounds, assuming all the heads are Husqvarna heads - 13" hatchet is 1-1/2#.
There are 3 whole hatchets, so that's 4-1/2#. At 1# for each head, you're up to 28-1/2. Just a guess, but probably pretty close.

It doesn't look stable. Wonder if it's fake. 3d printed? The patern is kind of mesmerising.

Pretty unique idea & pretty cool I think....did ya notice
if the heads are spot welded together underneath ???
I don't see any brace visible....never saw one before, I know that

Based on the varying wear on the blades, my guess is that it's real. Very creative.
Re: Interesting use of 27 hatchets
It sure is unusual and I like it (sort of) but I can't imagine what my wife would say if I came home with that one. (Well actually I can imagine.) Plus it would be tough to balance my glass of Opus One (yeah, right).

Now this one I could balance my Opus One on. Only $3,500 for the coffee table and $5,600 for the dining table at a high end furniture store in London.
