Three fer a buck!

Post by knife7knut »

Posted these in the new finds section but thought they would be better over here.
A table knife stamped Alaska Warranted in a banner. Thought it was silver plated steel but it doesn't stick to my magnetic knife holder so now I;m not sure what it is made of.It is definitely plated but the base metal is a mystery. Doesn't want to take an edge either.
Second one is a Russell Stainless carver that someone got loose with some type of electric tool on the blade edge.Sometimes I feel that one should have a license to sharpen knives.
Last one is a really nice Case XX CAP 200-8 inch kitchen knife.
Not bad for a dollar for all three!

I'd say that's money well spent. ::nod::

Ray, there hasn't been any action in the "Dollar Specials" thread for over a year. Maybe you could post 'em there. ---► viewtopic.php?f=2&t=19380&start=330

Nice, I paid .25 cents at a thrift store for this damaged jet cut Japanese pairing knife. Just took it with a tin can of water to the barn. A Little mothers mag. figured it was practice and a good save.
