PATINA!!.... let’s see those Carbon Steel Besties

Post by Hak1911 »

This Case XX was my Mothers Who was a serial Thrift Store Addict. She bought it and a Forgecraft Boning Knife for dollars each in Austell Ga.

I sharpened them and returned them to her for years of use as my Drawer is full at home.

She has passed on now and I took custody of the knives.

I passed the Forgecraft along to a dear friend.

Thought I’d share the patina the Case is devolving here among othe Knife Nuts. .....

This BoyScout Camillus, went through the dishwasher when it was brand new and shiny. It came out a red rusted locked up mess. 3in1 oil and lots of love later it has a nice patina.
