Poultry shears made by knife companies
Poultry shears made by knife companies
I have noticed several poultry shears that where made by knife and razor company's on ebay. They all look like quality tools. Yet seem to go pretty cheap. Are they collectable? The quality of these shears seems to be very well thought out. I came across one the other day at a sale and bought it because it was so nicely made.It is made by Ed Wusthof in germany. It has the company's trident logo. And DRGM 619187, which is the German patent number. As I understand it, these patent numbers were used from the late 1800's to WWII. Anybody know anything about it? Thanks, Rocko

Re: Poultry shears made by knife companies
I have several of these. I collect the bone handle ones made by companies associated with making or retailing pocket knives.
I don`t know how collectible they are out in the real world, but if you find one marked Case I am sure there would be some interest in it from knife collectors

Here are mine:
From left to right;Eloi Pernet France with ag scales and lever springs.
B&B Chicago;a distributor(maker?)of all types of knives;mostly advertising.
Royal Brand Cutlery.
An unmarked pair with a bird's head with the geak acting as the bone cutter.
A pair of horn handled ones marked,"Grasoli Italy"
A pair of Boker's that cost me a dollar at a yard sale.
Last is my first pair:L.F.&.C Universal with mother of pearl handle inserts.
The Royal Brand came in it's original box and the B&B were in a fitted wooden box.
