Catalog or Book

Post by ldnolan »

Is there a catalog or book that can help me identify details of epically vintage knives? I rely on tang stamps and such to help identify them but In some cases I would like more details about things like blade and handle material or even manufacturers specifications.

Levine's Guide to Knives, 4th edition has a great deal of knife specific information. The best source for original specifications are the old manufacturer's knife catalogs which can be found for sale on line.

Thanks. I saw the Levine's Guide and think I will get one. I will search for the old manufacturer's knife catalogs.
