Guys,
This is a sorta strange pattern to me. The JM stamped on the tang led me to a web site from England but I got very little info there. I have emailed them asking to send them photos but I have had no response.
I'm not planning an early retirement based on this one but I would like to know more about it and besides, it is way too late for me to take an early retirement. If you are familiar with the maker or the knife please fill me in. Do you think that the handles are horn?

Not English but Jacques Mongin France.
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

Re: Unusual Knife
Thank you, sir. I googled the name and found two of them on Arizona Knives. I think maybe I'll give them a try on this one. I had no clue. I'll owe you a cup of coffee or whatever!

A very nice knife Ray! I have several Mongin knives and they are of very high quality.

Re: Unusual Knife
Years ago, someone published a coffee table type pictorial book, might have been Knives Of The World or something similar.
Such knives were in the book and French, as stated above.

Re: Unusual Knife
Very nice Ray and thanks, Charlie. The guy seems to have favored horn for handle material. He called the horn like on the OP 'honey horn'.
Maybe I'll put this one in my store.
I sure appreciate the help on this one.
