Kissing Cranes date

Post by geocash »

Like a lot of other things, I don't know much about Kissing Cranes. Here are the only two I've ever had:

The Whittler has #2739XVIII stamped on the pile side of the master & I figure it was made in 1979 in the Robert Klaas plant. Please correct me if any of that's not right. The Canoe, I'm less sure of, but I believe it was made in the same plant after the Roman numerals were last used, in 1986, & before the "KC" prefix was added to the number stamp. What do ya'll think? Are there other clues I've missed?

I don't know the exact year but the dates you give are either correct or very close.
