Hey guys, my grandpa came across another interesting object. I could use some expert opinions on what exactly this is, how old, any value, etc.
My initial reaction by the overall look was I thought it was German, however the crown marks on it made me think maybe English. Now after some Google research, perhaps Swedish? It looks a lot like the m/1896 pictures I found online.
-Overall length is right at 13 inches, with 8 1/8 long blade.
-the blade is sharpened on 1 edge only, with fuller groove the full length
-metal scabbard has button stud
-ball end of metal scabbard has "640" on it.
-flat open end of scabbard has "640" and a Crown symbol stamped.
-front side tang on the blade has Crown symbol, and "027"
-rear side tang has Crown symbol, with letter "C" underneath it
-on the guard, front side shows "027" and rear side has Crown symbol with "C" underneath it
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Help ID bayonet
It fits the Swedish M1896 and M38 rifles.......maybe even the 42 semiautomatic rifle.
