Damascus L/L Folder...PAKISTANI???

Post by 98src »

I bought this folder on line mainly because of the file work. After receiving it,I remembered all the PAKISTANI damascus knives being sold at local gunshows. Is this knife one of the PAKISTANI products? It's 4" closed.

I too, would say import. I might be inclined to say Asia / Thailand side of the world...because of the screws. Most of the Paki stuff I've seen was pinned...but that's just a guess.

More important than country of origin, is it a good knife ? smooth action, good 'lock up' on opening, no play, sharp edge maintained after making cuts ?, etc.
Every country has the ability to produce both 'good' and 'bad' knives.

Well said. I may not like owning knives from certain countries and/or regions, but that does not necessarily make them bad knives. Millions or poor-quality knives dumped on the market can give any country a bad reputation, (and guarantee zero value to collectors), but it is wise to judge the individual knife on it's own construction.
