What's this for?

This thing is about 2 1/4" long, folded. There are no stamps or etches that I can see. Just corrosion. The handles appear to be imitation toilet seat. The picture doesn't show the handle well but that's probably not material. I recognize a blade, on the bottom in the picture, but what's the tool on the top for?

Not sure what it is. Could be a file on the inside edge of the blade.

I think is some kind of manicure tool: maybe for doing something to cuticles?

I don't think it is one, but it looks a little like a "hooked diamond" lock pick, but it is probably too large to be effective. I suspect manicure tool is right.

Ah ha! You are right about that, Wayne. I hadn't noticed the teeth.
It seems too narrow to be a fingernail file. Reckon what it was meant to file?

Thanks. Manicure tool sounds pretty likely but having never had a manicure I'm not sure how to use it.

Looks like it would be handy, to keep around, for cleaning out blade "wells". I sure that's not it's intended use..and imitation toilet seat, is better than no toilet seat :) .

The file teeth on a manicure blade can be just a narrow strip. You run the edge of your nail along it, change the angle and get the entire nail edge.
