Just got this knife in the other day. I can’t find the name “Maier” in any of my books or researching online. Appears to be a German made Knife with “Rostfrei” on back with the image of a man carrying a pocket knife over his shoulder with blades opened. Any help would be much appreciated.
Has anyone seen a knife marked “Maier”?

A really attractive knife. I like the frame and the choice of blades. Good pick up.

Seems to me that tang stamp has been discussed here before.
Somebody knows to whom it belongs.
Dimitri, most likely, but he's not been very active here, lately.

I've got a Buck 275 with "maier" etched on both sides of both blades and also burned into the wood handle. Very weird, since Maier is a german company that makes industrial knives..
