Can I get a Date On this Case Stockman

Post by Han0verfiste »

I bought this last saturday and I'm having a devil of a time figuring the date on what I think is a Case Stockman Knife.
All 3 blades are marked W.R. Case & Sons Bradford Pa and the scales are dark Black. Any info is appreciated

Most references give that stamping as 1905 - 1914. What is the knife's closed length? Might be a 93 pattern (3-7/8 inches). Here's a link to the Research section here on AAPK that can help you with this and other questions https://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/page/research.php. (You can also access it from the header way up there at the top of the page. Click on "Research".). Then scroll down the page to the heading about W.R. Case knife age identification.

Wow!! Very nice old stockman. I agree looks like a 2393 from the pre 1920 era.

Ha, I read that as if you were asking if having this knife would get you a date? Now that would have been an interesting topic.
Incredible condition for a knife that old. Good score.
