Queen City steel handle date

Post by 58chevy348 »

Recently acquired this Queen City steel handle knife. Does anyone know the approximate age or value on this one? Near mint and has original box. Thank you!

I found this chart on the forum. So, is my knife the earliest stamp dating from 1922 to 1932?

The chart supports your conclusion. However, someone with real expertise will come along and perhaps shed more light on your striking acquisition.

Ferguson refers to it as pattern 088 in her book "Romance of Collecting Cattaraugus, Robeson, Russell, Queen knives."

That is a nice knife. I love the old iron knives.

I've never seen that pattern before. Very cool old Queen!
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

Nice knife ::tu:: ... given the handles and length I would say it was Queen's version of a Boys Knife - very cool!
