Spanish Toledo 1879 highly decorated knife

Post by 58chevy348 »

I collect mostly vintage US made knives, so this one is a bit out of my league. This highly decorated knife reads "FAB ca DE TOLEDO 1879" on the blade. I know it is made in Spain, but is 1879 the date of manufacture? Very strong backspring with great snap and half stop. Measures 3.5 inches long closed.

Very interestin' old knife! I don't have a clue on the date but it could be the date of mfg. or the date that particular company/knife maker(?) began their work. ::shrug::
