Re: Help identifying knife
Hello there, I consider "Stiletto" as a "Generalize" term. In "Fixed" blades it usually means "Double Edged"
A lot of folks call the Front Crossguard of ANY KNIFE that looks like YOURS a (((Stiletto))). Also Similar, Any KNIFE that is an Auto-matic Out-the-front, Use to be called a "Stiletto" a long time ago, lol. Your making me feel old now, hahahahaha
They even Remake them with Etching on the blade (Stiletto) by Kissing Crane and these can go back into the 80's and may even go back into the 70's, I know the 80's cause I seen them when I was a kid.
Back to your knife,,,Looks like Genuine Horn handles and Its a Normal Lockback knife,,,Most likely 60's era and on back of the blade normally is a # as opposed to a symbol that you are seeing.
I have owned plenty of them but they are still fun to find & play with. Most are rather used up but it looks like yours is in Great shape.
Thx Mark

Plenty of Kissing Crane Stilleto's (very similar to your knife) on eBay ( http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=ki ... o&_sacat=0 ) and we all know eBay would never allow an automatic to be listed (dripping sarcasm).

Re: Help identifying knife
Do some of these open by pulling back one of the front guards ? Or is that how the blade is unlocked so it can be closed ?

Hey Roland, Yes the do Sir and I could dig out MINE from when I was a Kid and show you,,,Its often referred to as a "Rocker bolster or something like that" and was designed to "unlock" the blade from the fully opened position.
I wanted one SOO BAD from a Gun & knife show when I was a boy and BEGGED my father to buy it for me. He did buy it for me but was frowning the whole time cause he thought it was just "Junk" NOT USA made, lmao
Kind Regards,
Mark
