Help identifying this knife
Help identifying this knife
OK knife experts. I picked up this really nice looking stag camp/utility knife. Seems to be very well made. I have been staring at the tang stamp and can't make it out. J.M. in the middle but that's the best I can do. Any one recognize the stamp? Any guesses?

If I had not looked at the stamp I would have bet on Bruckmann. My guess is clearly not supported by the stamp.

I believe it stands for J. Mongin a French maker. I have several Mongin knives but they usually have the initials inside an oval.
