Marlin spike is self defense, esp. if locking, which these are not.
So these knives were for Girl Guides in Britain and Canada, but not in USA ?
There are Girl Scout knives made in USA but no Girl Guides knives that i know of.
Are there no Girl Guides in USA, just Girl Scouts ?

Roland As far as I know the Girl Guides are English and Canadian only.

Roland, I also have a belt for girl guides from New Zealand, almost identical to the one I posted above.

Pretty sure if New Zealand had the guides so too would Australia and others ::nod::

Yes, so Britain and the Commonwealth got these metal "Girl Guides" knives and nowhere else.
