Tang stamp?
Tang stamp?
When I bought this knife I thought it was a hen rooster now that I have it in hand I have no ideals? Any help much appreciated.

Re: Tang stamp?
Levines Guide lists it as Quail (picture) and Bob White Cutlery, Santa Fe, Tn. as a retailer. circa 1979. He doesn't list any possible makers for this retailer. On line if you look up Bob White Cutlery, a list of knife names that Queen has made knives for includes Bob White Cutlery made in the 70's. The search is always the part I love about knives I buy. ____Dave

Thanks Dave, it's a new name to me. I agree, the history and the search is one of my favorite things about collecting old knives.

Re: Tang stamp?
My Papaw gave me one of these when I was in high school. He said it was a "good old knife". Unfortunately I let someone use it once and they lost it. Been sick over that for nearly 40 years now …
