I don't really even like this pattern. I bought this because I don't have any knives with this tang stamp.
The seller does have a return policy but I haven't received the knife yet.

I don't think it would be worth the time and trouble to counterfeit a knife like this. ::shrug::

It would be a lot of work for $71.00.

Gentlemen,

I own the exact same knife. A gift from a dear friend and member of this forum. I actually had Tony Foster look at it and he agreed it is ligit. The only thing is that it isn't as old as the eBay seller claims. I am quite educated on the CASE Manufacturing period. This one is much later. The Manufacturing word was used by one of the CASE BROS in Little Valley and Warren PA. If you read my article on Kane Cutlery in KWM, it explains that. This knife isn't from that era. It is a CASE Bradford PA knife. Hope this helps.

Thanks I will look for the article.
What time frame do you think it was made?
Was it 1911?

The stamp on this eBay listed knife appears to say "CASE MFG. CO. WARREN, PA". I haven't seen this before. Just wondering what folks have to say about the stamp. The knife looks old and well used. It looks like it might have been a Canoe 63131.

I am no expert (far from it), but I found a reference from google that says the Case Mfg. Co., Warren, Pa stamp was only used in 1911.
