Higo no Kami Tokudai (sizeL), Nagaokoma

Is anyone familiar with these knives from Japan ?

I just order one off of Amazon.

Higo no Kami Tokudai (sizeL), Nagaokoma
Blade 10cm~11cm(sizeL), Hitachi-BlueSteel, Sanmai
Handle 12cm, Stainless, Aogami-Honwarikomi
All Hand-Made, Forging and Hummered Work
Japanese Traditional Crafting Technique, over 100 years
Nagaokoma company only can make HIGONOKAMI in Japan. They have a trademark registration in Japan. hard to find in USA.

used to have 1 of those higonokami, wicked sharp! :shock:
a bit diferent from yours mine made by Master Hattori
here's a pic of it, not my pic, it's from my dealer page
i thing my dealer said it's a traditional japanese carpenter folding knife ::shrug::

The Hitachi Blue Steel is supposed to be a premium knife steel, high carbon content. You can check the spyderco.com for more info.

I love the knife in your photo.

Rustle47 : I went to the spyderco.com steel chart and this new knife is even better steel (Hitachi-BlueSteel, Sanmai ) than my Cold Steel Lawman (Japanese AUS 8A Stainless).
