I have seen a Brownie single blade folder with red plastic handles but never one like yours. Is it marked "Germany" ?
I doubt it has much value as condition is well used and there are not many "Brownie" collectors.

Thanks Joe.
Thats was my suspicions to. Not any value or little. But I like it, that's the most important thing about this knife

Thanks a lot, I live in both Sweden and Norway. and I'm a curious new collector of pocketknifes. Love the hunting for knives and information.

I believe that this depiction of the Brownie has nothing to do with the scouting type Brownies but rather a Brownie spirit. The image looks to be carrying a slingshot as Brownies could be mischievous and is also wearing a nightcap.

This knife would do well to be posted in the Boy's knife section here on AAPK.

If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

Wayne, I learned something. Just thought it had to do with girl scouts but I bet you are right. ::nod::

My grandmother always had a Ramon's Brownie calendar on the wall. It had weather predictions from the farmer almanac. And the Brownie characters were all over that calendar. Really cool.

Image borrowed from the net.
