Scott,

I have not seen that particular knife, however, I have handled almost all of their Bear Ops knives and I have been pretty impressed with their work. In fact I have sold a good bit of their Bear Ops knives to my Military customers.

At first blush, it appears to be a liner lock flipper. Was it sharp out of the box?

They may have a winner here. S35VN steel, and an MSRP of only $75 ($80 for black, my favorite)?! That's a steal for a 4 3/8" American-made modern folder--you're looking at at least 50% more for anything comparable. And I'm sure a lot of places will have these at $50-$60. But, you really can't find Bear in most cutlery stores. My local knife store only carries a handful; maybe 4-5 at the most.

I'm confident they do have a winner, and it feels so.......so , well let me compare it to rock bands. Motley Crue crushing, fast forward, driving rock vs elevator Fleetwood Mac rock. Yeah...that's it....it's like Motley Crue!!

Heads Up!

Amazon's got the knife for $35. I am almost at the point of ordering one (as I don't yet own a knife in S30V steel, but I'm fearful it's probably gonna be a second. Not "cosmetically imperfect" seconds, but "accident waiting to happen" seconds. That was the experience with two Sideliners (one I had to redo the lock mating surfaces; the other fell apart), a Bear Jaws, and a Super Bear Jaws (the latter two had non functional locks, and blades that opened a bit past 180").

You know those extra buttons stashed on the inside of your shirt? I needed to replace one for the front of my shirt so I flipped up
the underside and utilized my BEAR to cut the thread!

Worked like a star!

So, here we are almost 5 months after I started using this knife.
I washed it this morning then hit my stropping board and ceramic rod sharpener and bingo, right back into paper slicing sharp.

I'll tell ya, I'm nothing but impressed with this tactical folder!

Thanks for letting me share my thoughts!
