This Needs To Be Repaired (Welded?) PLEASE.

Post by New_Windsor_NY »

A few minutes ago I bought this pocket knife. Yes, I bought it knowing the blade is broken.
I don't have it in my possession yet. This is just an "are you interested" post.
Question #1 is, can it be repaired (welded)? Question #2 is, who wants to repair (weld) this for me?
I understand $$ will be involved and that is NOT an issue. I am NOT a cheapskate.
If you are interested, PLEASE PM me.
Thank you and stay safe, Skip.

It is strictly a display knife, not going to be used.

Inquiring minds would like to know what kind of knife that is? I can make out a patent stamp it looks like but not the date, and can see a tang stamp.

I saw that on ebay Skip, "doodlefroodle" I think, and wondered who would buy a knife with a broken blade, and now I know who and also why! It looks quite large in the picture and that makes it my kindda knife! If you can get the blade welded or repaired in another way, that knife will make for a nice display! Nice catch man! 8)

I've got five nice, complete, examples of this particular knife already.
But, these don't come up for sale too often. So, I buy them when
I see them. No matter what conditions it or they are in. ::tu::

Pictured below are the five nice, complete, examples that I have.
Also, the ad for this pattern of knife is posted above.

I figured it may be an Allen knife, I know you are a collector of them.

Very nice Skip! The copy in the 2nd picture looks to be in the best shape, but they all are definitely acceptable! 8)
