Fix it forget it...what is it....?

Post by Rossr »

I got this out of a junk box at a knife show for a buck or two. Not sure I ever saw a mechanism like that. The lever pushed forward lifts the spring so.you could.fold the blade closed. A point on the blade.goes in a hole on the spring to lock it. The blade stamp is somewhat missing I think. I can make out ZAFRILL underneath that is LBACETE.

So it needs a new lever could use new scales too imo. Some rust issues on blade. So fix it forget ....curious if anyone k ows the company too

Thanks all

Ross

Stamp incomplete, it is a Spanish knife from the town or city of Albacete. Common lock mechanism for those knives.

Making some headway on this one. It's a challenge. I suspect not worth the effort but it's an interesting learning curve.

Only thing I would change is the back end i didnt need both pins. Prior that was because of a rear bolster but it's still fine. The antler i had laying about and thought it looked nice with the stainless steel bolster. Thanks for the compliment.

Great job! I love getting into those weird mechanisms because it is such a learning experience.

The results are outstanding, they speak for themselves. I think it looks great in stag!
