First attempt at rehandling with deer antler
I took this Camco jack knife and rehandled it deer antler I had laying around. Cut the slabs out with a hacksaw then hand sanded until flat then shaped then out. There's a few small flaws , but hey , you got learn some how.

For a first attempt, I'd say you did pretty darn good. You'll only get better the more times you do it.

Looks great for a first try. Heck, getting the knife back together and functioning on a first attempt is an accomplishment!

Great job. Especially using a hacksaw to mill the antlers! That had to be a test of patience.

Glenn is absolutely correct! The whole process is a huge learning curve. I still learn things when I repair knives, almost every time.glennbad wrote:Looks great for a first try. Heck, getting the knife back together and functioning on a first attempt is an accomplishment!
Nice work!
