done a lot, 're peened the Wayne as had blade play, then polished the bolsters but left age, its tip main blade was snapped so re grinded it to a more warncliff shape, next I had to change something on the colonial scrimshaw stockman,it's bolsters was chrome plated :| so half an hour later ,and now there no longer chromed and have a brushed Finnish to match the blades , next was a trickier one,old camillus with main pivot pin snapped inside , only half left on one side and small bit left in other bolster, once removed,I fitted a new pin, upgrade as a SS pin ::tu:: peened, filed and polished, again trying to keep its age,now hopefully it will go another 40yrs ::tu:: thanks again to Carl for these projects ::tu::

Thanks guys, not long been doing pocket knife repairs but restoring knives for 37yrs, I've always had that can do attitude due to my mum being a single parent and lacking money,we had to repair things instead of throwing away, I think many of us are like this, I'm really happy with the camillus but was a pain removing the two broken parts of the original pin, hopefully this SS upgrade will last many more years ::tu::

Really nice work. Hope you had as much fun doing the work as we had viewing it.
It is always relaxing to go out in a shed and just do your thing.

Thanks guys, it realy is very relaxing, too be honest everything about collecting pocket knives is like therapy, the searching part is fun,the research part is educational, and the cleaning and repairing keeps your mind and hands active ::tu:: the support from you guys has always given me a boost ,I'm only on 2 forums these days and both have great friends on ::tu:: I've ordered a celluid guitar scratch plate in tortois shell effect to make scales for the pradel type knife,I'll make a new bail ,Hopefully it will look nice when done ::tu:: a bit like this one ::tu::

A great example of creative out-of-the-box thinking! I didn't even know you could get celluloid and sheet form so easily. Yet you figured out where to find some that is probably the exact thickness you need. Very ingenious and very creative!! ::tu:: ::tu::

Thanks Dale ::tu:: I use to play the guitar and restored a few old electric guitars so have used the scratch plates before, they come in loads of colours including abalone, tortois ,and cracked ice, there are a few thicknesses as well, plus adhesive backs ::tu:: it's pretty much like what's on it already ::tu::
