A list of who does knife repairs on AAPK ?

Post by Case N.Point »

I am looking to get a slip joint knife re- covered and want to know who does this kind of work. I'm aware of Muskrat Man but who else is there. is there a list and if not can someone make a list of repair people and list them on AAPK ? Thanks

Goldpan and Orvet do great work. As Scott said, Elvis does also, of course MuskratMan. There are others, my apologies for not including them, these are the names that come to mind.

Most of us have a several month backlog.

I have several months of backlog currently and this year hasn’t started out great so far with the gallbladder surgery and the passing of my best friend these have really slowed me down and put me out of the mood for working on knives.
I’m starting back into working on knives but I’m doing it by working on some of my own first to make sure my hands are good enough to work on someone else’s knives without making mistakes.

Glenn is far too humble, he’s one of the best! Glennbad (Glenn), Goldpan (Randy), Muskrat Man (Kaleb), and Elvis (Bob) are all very good knife mechanics and would take good care of you. I know Elvis as a special affinity for Case and has worked on a number of them. Anyone of those guys would take really good care of you.

I apologize for missing you, Bill. I tend to think of you in the world of automatics, forgetting your skill and experience in repairing all types of knives.

My apologies Bill. I also think of you in association with automatics and not slipjoints.

Aren't there people on here that do leather work, blade etching, scroll work and other custom work? It would be good to make a master list that includes all. I could be listed as master procrastinator as I have many projects, but seldom get one done. Only kidding.
