extra nice IMPERIAL

Post by Jacknifeben »

This is a 3 7/8 inch Imperial knife with celluloid handles and “hand made” blades like some old Keen Kutter had. This is not a cheap knives with skin covered handles. Really like this knife.

Did some more checking and on page 375 of Sargents 3rd edition Knives and Razors there is my knife. K3935 HAMMER FORGED PREMIUM STOCKMAN. That one is bone but the blades are the same.

That's a nice one JKB!!!

I used to have one of the Keen Kutter versions. I think I like the blades on the Imperial better though.

This is the one I used to have.

The words vintage and antique are vague. Actually most words are vague. Even the word vague is vague.

Jackknifeben

Schrade did a set of 5 or 6 knives like that. I have the set and will see if I have time today to dig it out and post a picture.

They are are wrapped shell handles, not solid celluloid.

Very nice knife, JKB. ::tu:: I happen to have one of the Keen Kutters, maybe the same pattern? It's the top knife in the group.

If those are wrapped covered handles they really had me fooled. I still like the knife.

Thanks, Dimitri. ::handshake:: I think I picked up that group at auction back in Spring of 2019.
