Helpful can-opener knife dating.
Found this in a "Knife World" magazine from Sept 2000.

What about the two piece can openers???

There are also a couple of variants of the "D" shaped opener:the two-piece opener by Remington/Pal and Boker.

It appears that some can-opener blades can be confused with "Cap-Lifters" ?
