Sorry Phil, it is a W.R. Case & Sons. Couldn't find this photo on my computer, so copied it back from a previous post and the result is that it can not be enlarged with a mouse click?

Re: The Rogers Bone Thread
Nice one danno! That's the real deal - Rogers bone for sure.

Edit: If it helps, here's a couple more pics (both sides) of the Case Bradford tri-fold on which you can see the randomness of the Rogers jigging. Note the worm grooves on the mark side. Don't know if this is the "Indian Trail" jigging mentioned in Jerry D's earlier post or not. May be since I guess the tri-fold might be considered a hunting knife . Pics should enlarge with double-click.

Thanks Jerry. I had the idea frrom the article that you posted that Rogers quit making it in 1962 but that Rogers Bone was still being produced by others.jerryd6818 wrote:It's the random pattern AND as noted in my first post, made by Rogers.
Anyway, random pattern is good. That explains why I could not figure out a pattern!

Re: The Rogers Bone Thread
I think these old Remington Boy Scout knives are Rogers Jigged brown bone. I paged through some old catalogs to see how they're described. Most catalog ads said the handles are Stag. I'm going out on a limb here and calling it Brown Bone.
If you click on the pic it will blow up for a real close look.

Very interesting Ken. Here is the bone on mine. Certainly not standard green bone CASE jigging.Mumbleypeg wrote:Nice one danno! That's the real deal - Rogers bone for sure.

Re: The Rogers Bone Thread
Jerry, I'd say your tri-fold is Rogers bone. Sargent's 7th lists the Bradford tri-fold in both Rogers bone and green bone, but only a pic of the green bone. However it lists the Tested version only in green bone. Another example that no reference can be expected to contain every knife Case ever made. The example pictured in both instances is green bone, with the knives having a distinct repetitive jigging pattern. I recall a couple other tri-folds having been posted on AAPK in past years. Curiosity is gonna force me to go see if they were Rogers bone or green bone.
Ken
Edit: I found only two other Case tri-folds posted here on AAPK besides Jerry's and mine (total of four). Of the other two one is definitely green bone, the other Rogers bone. Hope the owners (barber and timtechman) don't mind I copied their pics for posting here.
