PREMIER CUTLERY CO. 1921-1955

Post by junebug »

HEY GUYS AN GALS!!!!!!!
As most know,i collect PREMIER CUTLEY CO. made knives and associated items...........

I get a lot of questions about the knives,as there is not a lot of info out there on them, and they are rarely seen or maybe unnoticed ::hmm::  .

I have been collecting them for a couple years now. This is some of the info i have found, some pics, company info, and just general PREMIER related STUFF. ::tu::

PREMIER was a import company
they had 2 offices set up,both had a slightly diff name to separate the two.
CANADA-
PREMIER CUTLERY CO. LTD. - TORONTO,CANADA

USA-
PREMIER CUTLERY CO. NEW YORK,NY
47 WEST 42nd St. ,NY
PRES: ABE SIEGEL
VICE PRES. : JACK WASSERERG
SEC. & TREAS. : HENRY SILBERSTEIN

both outlets sold "PREMIER" stamped knives....
BUT....
CANADA also used the "LIFETIME" & "PREMCUT" stamped units also..........
&
USA also used the "LIFETIME" & "ELK" stamped units also............

KNIVES WERE MADE IN (that i have seen so far) GERMANY,SHEFFIELD ENG. ,ITALY,& USA

****PREMIER CUTLERY INC. *********** NEW CHEAPIES!!!!!
later some one bought the name (1980-ish) and those are differnt!!! mostly etched, but some stamped!!!....these were made in : JAPAN,SWEDEN,SPAIN,CHINA (that i have seen so far)

PREMIER "WAS" the leading cutlery whole seller in canada for a very long time........

ALWAYS LOOKING FOR MORE INFO ON THE COMPANY....AND THEIR KNIVES,DISPLAYS,BOXES,PAPERS,ETC.........................

::handshake::

I'LL START WITH A PIC OF A PILE ,OF A FEW IN A BOX.....WAITIN TO BE SORTED INTO THE DISPLAY CASE ::super_happy::

A LOT MORE PIX TO COME, GOTTA RUN TO DR. ::doh:: .................................. ::tu::
