I second the notion Paul.
Re: Old Knives With Jigged Bone Handles
Nice knives Paul ... Robeson no doubt had some awesome jigged bone on their knives - even the worm groove jigging seen on many of their knives is top notch!!

The late style bone used by schrade walden before the delrin takeover looks quite nice. I have seen it referred to as "wavy bone" so that's what I also call it. I like that name as it seems fitting. Much like with the name peachseed, calling it as it looks.

The wavy bone really seems to “flow” on the round-bolstered, serpentine-framed examples.
That muskrat(?) in your final photo is simply gorgeous!

Very nice,Roger!
Re: Old Knives With Jigged Bone Handles
Fabulous HB folder Roger! That pick bone is quintessential NYKC. I never tire of looking at it and each is as unique as a human finger print. Like it was created by nature or the hand of God! Thanks for showing it off

Great knife Roger. Would that pick bone have been done completely by hand?

Re: Old Knives With Jigged Bone Handles
John that looks like a 3 line tang stamp probably WWI knife. I don't know for sure when Rogers bone became the bone of choice for Camillus but that one may pre-date that transition. A great old knife to be sure!JohnR wrote:Roger, Paul, great jigging on those knives.

Thank you Greg, this one is interesting in that it has a 4 line on the main blade, apparently Camillus was known to use up old blades so maybe a reason for the curved stamp pen.
Re: Old Knives With Jigged Bone Handles
I think the jigging on this Schrade fish knife is some of the best I have ever seen,
