Vintage Barehead Jacks

Post by Miller Bro's » Tue Dec 25, 2012 11:47 pm

A Barehead jack is a knife with only one set of bolsters at the pivot end of the knife, the opposite non blade end does not have bolsters. I like these simple old knives as they are lighter without the bolsters and only usually have 1 or 2 blades.

Here is an example of an old C. Johnson & Son single blade barehead jack with fancy nickle silver bolsters and beautiful jigged bone handles.

Let`s see your barehead jacks ::tu::

Not in the same league as the beautiful bone on yours Miller Bro's...but I think this lil' KaBar would qualify...

Barehead Jack sounds so Husky and manly and seems to usually be a larger knife used as an EDC or work knife and then theres mine ::facepalm::

Thanks Phil and tongueriver. Should have said previously that all knives posted so far are very nice. Really like tongueriver's Walden.
