Lyle - I agree with you 150% ::nod:: .... the knowledge base here is top notch with lots of folks willing to share - and from a personal standpoint my learning curve has sky-rocketed since joining :) ... of course this is one of those things where the learning never stops..... (like fly fishing and tying for those who enjoy that pursuit as well)...

I agree with both of you Lyle and Lee, this is a fantastic place to learn! Also, whenever I open Goins' I am always impressed with the new things I see. Each time I find things that make me say a little prayer of thanks to Mr. & Mrs. Goins. Any person interested in history, let alone an interest in pocket knives, can recognize the amazing amount of knowledge and passion contained in that volume.

Unk - that is a wonderful collection of wooden jacks!! I dig wood myself - especially the wood of old - ebony, cocobolo etc etc... hard, durable and beautiful grain!!

In the first pic, the whole top row are Simmons Keen Kutters. The bottom row is a mixed bag of different makers.

Posted elsewhere but this little one fits here too. Used old Robeson but in nice shape aside from blade loss.
