Old Wrench/Tool Knives
These are some of my favorite old knives to collect. They are hard to find in good condition and come in a variety of sizes and brands. Everything from bone handles to all metal. There are several variations to be found and it could take you the rest of your life trying to find them all, not to mention emptying your bank account in the process
They can be Cresent wrench, Pipe wrench, Adjustable wrench, or tool knives let`s see them

This is my kind of thread. I love old tool knives and oddball knives. Here are some pics of a Case pliers knife,a Robeson Carriage knife, and numerous Cattaraugus wrench knives. My wife says I have to many Cat wrench knives but they are hard to pass up when they are in good condition.

Re: Old Wrench Knives
Jerry,
That Robeson Carriage knife is almost identical to this Beaver Cutlery Co.
No shield is about the only difference I can see.

Re: Old Wrench Knives
My guess would be that the Beaver Cutlery Co. knife was made on contract by Robeson. Everything seems to be identical except for the shield. Could be vice versa but I would bet one of them is a contract knife.Miller Bro`s wrote:Jerry,

Re: Old Wrench Knives
No doubt about it, Robeson made this one.
The Punch blade has the Robeson patent date stamped on it and the handles are a Robeson patent as well

Re: Old Wrench Knives
Here are some pics of my latest pliers knife. Stamped W.H. Morley and Sons. Circa 1913-1927
One knife blade and a smaller blade that functions as a knife blade or a punch. The small blade is flat on one side and slightly rounded on the opposite side. The handle for the pliers has a screwdriver tip on the end of it. Fairly rare item especially in the condition this one is in. Blades have a few carbon spots but it has never been cleaned and the knife blades don't appear to have ever been sharpened.
Everyone has their weakness and mine is wrench/pliers/tool knives.

Here's one I've had a while. I had two; one with a nice sheath. I gave it to my son.
This is a well made tool.
