Hey John R wonderful ONB you have I absolutely love the old long bolster English Barlows. One must remember that the Barlow was the cheapest made knife going. I am thouroughly convinced from seeing all the blade variations that there was no rime or reason to putting these things together. I think they used whatever parts they had to get them out the door The rest of you chime in here if you want. I am always looking for info and marks I have never seen before Here are a few for you viewing pleasure. You all will soon learn that I have a great passion for barlows and hope someday to do a book

ATB. Just marked Sheffield
MF&S marked 1780 on main blade and Charles Furness on the little blade. Only Charles Furness blade I have ever seen.
ONB. First one Furness Sheffield
ONB second one marked Matthew with touch marks
Oak Sheffield
AFC. Frasure & co. Sheffield
M&S. Madden & Sons Sheffield
B4 Any. F Ward Sheffield

Darrell: Wonderful Barlows. The Mammoth of course, but the MOP also looks great on your Barlow.

Q: The acrylic gives a very rich look to that fine Bulldog, a favorite brand.

Thanks, Garry.
I know you'll appreciate this:
The reason I bought this particular Bulldog Barlow is because it reminds me of my recently departed companion, Lehua.

Another Barlow I picked up over the weekend. This is a Kutmaster that unlike most advertisers does not have the blade etch or handle printed ad, but has NEW HOLLAND stamped directly into the steel bolster. This would be the New Holland that makes farm machinery I presume. Kind of different.

Nice Barlows everyone. Olde Cutler, the New Holland's were a gift from the New Holland dealer in the 1960's, here is how they were packaged.
