Interesting old Barlow, Miller Brothers bolster stamp with Maher&Grosh blades. Miller Brothers did make knives for Maher&Grosh. I have not come across many M&G old Barlows to compare this one to.

Great pair. They’ve been used just enough to have some nice character.

Re: The Venerable Old Barlow
Today this pocket knife joins my collection. It's another PASTOR ALEMAN (German Shepherd), single blade pocket knife. It is a "BARLOW" pattern pocket knife. This is my first PASTOR ALEMAN pocket knife of this particular pattern. It measures 5" closed, not including the bail and 9" open, not including the bail. This knife "brand" is part of the Imperial and Colonial, Mexico story/connection. It didn't need any cleaning. I took a few pictures and here it is.

Re: The Venerable Old Barlow
Here's a couple "Venerable" (great description for the Barlow pattern), old Furness Barlows from Enoch, and Martha, There's another brother, Edward. Love to get an Edward to complete the set. All gone by 1916. (Re: Levine). Iron, integral bolsters/liners. Small, 3-1/16". Stamped main blades.
No tang stamps. Love 'em. J.O'.

Re: The Venerable Old Barlow
Thanks all ! Saw a bunch of Furness Barlows on Sanders Knives site yesterday. Was a bit surprised at what they're bringing, (if they're selling). Maybe our knives are doing better than our brokers are for us. J.O'.
Re: The Venerable Old Barlow
Picked up a real nice spear blade Camillus Tip Top Barlow to go along with my other 2.
Re: The Venerable Old Barlow
Great threesome, especially like that fabulous sawcut bone on the clip blade. Gorgeous color. Great group.

Re: The Venerable Old Barlow
Added this one to the Barlow & Craftsman Family. Was out and about yesterday and stopped at a couple Antique / Consignment shops. Found this one. A Craftsman 9540 Barlow. Delrin handles have a little wear, and the pile side has some spots of some kind of adhesive. The blades still have the original factory grind finish and luster, but it did have some rust on the blades in places. The blades look full, with little wear or sharpening abuse. They have great snap, but the primary clip blade does have a very slight side to side wobble. I gave it the spa treatment, carbon / eraser rub on rust spots and went over the blades with some Flitz. I think it turned out well and will make a good Craftsman EDC rotation.
