Here’s that keen Kutter swell end Jack? I picked up dirt cheap on eBay… I love it! A little bit of wobble but I’m just gonna clean it up and leave it alone and put it in my safe for now… Oh… And a picture of Layla making herself at home on the neighbors patio furniture… She’s not spoiled

JKB—I don’t have that picture but I wish I did!

This isn’t a knife but I figured it would be OK to post it here .. I picked up this EC Simmons Keen Kutter 🔒 lock up dirt cheap on Etsy.. I did a lot of looking in my books and on the Internet and I’m 90% certain it is not a fake… Even if it is I still like it for what I paid for it ... The mechanism works great and I love those 🔑 keys with the trademark shape!

Thanks Skip!! I Love it.. always wanted one but didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for one.. I got lucky on this one.. really reasonable price.. I'm now certain (99.9%) it is authentic..

Edit--it's a reproduction... Oh well, I didn't pay much for it and I still like it... lesson learned tho

After further research I now know that it is a reproduction... Oh well, I still like it and I didn't pay much for it... Lesson learned though..a good link below that convinced me it's a fake

Ryan,

I'll take and post some lock pictures from the reference book I have on Keen Kutter goods when I get home, for comparison. ::tu::

Here you go, from Jerry & Elaine Heuring's book, Collector's Guide to Keen Kutter, 2000. Hope this helps for future reference.

Picked up this K1787 spey blade metal handle knife. Good condition with etch, tang stamp is unusual, 2 K's, not sure if knife is real or it's a reproduction.
