Thanks Tom!! I might make this one an EDC ...Still Can’t believe I missed it in my pile of clunkers somehow…I used rust erasers on the blades, 20 minutes in my sonic cleaner then just dried and wiped with a little Quick release oil, oiled joints too..here’s the before picture from my original posting of this knife ..

Rust erasers. ::hmm:: Glad I asked. (found some on the bay) Learned something new again. Good deal. ::handshake:: ::super_happy::

And..., that would be a great EDC! ::super_happy::

Dale (Orvet) turned me on to rust erasers.. I used to just use scotch bright pads but rust erasers make much quicker work as long as you’re careful not to go too far and careful not to use the wrong grit..If you read this thanks again Dale!

Couldn't find anything by pattern number in Sellen's or Sargent's books, Ryan. But that's sometimes the case; they have a lot of knives but not every one ever made. ::shrug::

Nice job cleaning that one up Ryan, will make a good EDC! It was probably made by Schrade in the 1950s. Sellens only had 3 catalogs from the Shapleigh era to work from, 1940, 1942 and 1958.

Being as how I probably won't be straying too far from the house for the next month or two, I got all of my Keen Kutters out of the safe, oiled them up and put them back into my display case.

Very, very impressive, Dan. Thanks for posting, I enlarged the pic, spent several minutes looking at it, and probably will go back and do so again. That is a beautiful group of knives, kudos!

Thanks Ike and Ryan. It is not the best picture, kind of fuzzy on the second blowup. However, I have been trying for the last week, in different lighting, to get a better one, with no luck.

Thanks for the kind comments Roger, Ryan, Tom, msteele6, John, Lloyd and luckydog64.
Thanks for the offer, Ryan, but I think I will pass. I think I get OK pics of individual knives, it is the group shots I have trouble with.
There are still lot's of them out there Tom. My pile of KKs is pretty small compared to one of the other posters on this thread.

Great looking collection, danno. ::tu:: ::tu::

I see you have one of those Jumbo Sleeveboards, is it a whittler? Are you using magnets in your display case?

Thanks John. Yes, the sleeveboard has the blades in a whittler configuration. The smaller blade are a pen and a punch. All of the knives in the display have been posted individually at some time in this thread. Yes, the knives are held on with rare earth magnets.
