Beautiful knife Greg ::tu:: ::tu:: That's a great find. I have yet to see an Empire in person and that's a real beauty.

Thanks fellas! I was surprised it didn't attract more bidders than it did. Perhaps the Hayward threw everyone off. ::shrug::

Greg congratulations—what an outstanding high grade score ::tu:: ::tu:: Any old stag jack in that condition would be a great find but to then be an Empire red stag jack—WOW it doesn’t get any better than that now does it!!

Thanks Lloyd and Paul. It was really kind of happenstance that I even ran up on it. Someone saw one of my other Empires and just had to have it. He offered that up as a trade. I think we were both pretty tickled with the deal. :D

A couple of new ones for me last week. Not some of my best examples but they are after all Empires. I can't say that I've ever seen two stag examples in such a short time span,

Thanks Lee! The etch says Hawk Brand. I believe that has been discussed here before but I can't recall it's origin at the moment. I would definitely say a boy's knife at 3 1/4 inch closed.
