Here's alittle Empire jack I just picked up. It probably won't make the collector's case because of the tipped master blade but these knives have a level of quality and craftmanship that is hard to match. Both blades have immaculate half stops with awesome snaps. So with a new edge this one will make another stellar EDC.

Nice Jack Greg.
It's all well and good to find fancy patterns, but Empire's quality stands out just as well in their simple Jacks!
Love 'em, every one!!

Greg, in addition to being a knife, that Empire pattern is an art deco work of art. ::tu:: ::tu::

Greg just a wonderful score and a hard to find (scarce) Empire! Looks to be in very excellent condition ::nod:: Given that fact you got it for a good price. There was sure a lot of interest in that folder. I think another member said this pattern has an Art Deco look to it and I would agree. Just a highly desirable vintage folder made by a great knife maker in just outstanding condition ::tu:: Comgratulations I am sure that will be a much treasured knife in your collection, Lloyd

Here is what I believe to be an Empire produced Shapleigh HDWE DE Serpentine or Dog Leg small Jack. It is 3.125 inches closed. Look at the tang stamp or marking. I have come to learn through another Shapleigh DE collector's observations that those produced by Schrade had hardware abbreviated as HDW on the tang where those produced by Empire had hardware abbreviated as HDWE. It also has that Empire look to it. Anyway, thanks for looking your comments or thoughts are appreciated. Lloyd
