Thanks Joe. They came in the mail while I was in New York City and when I got home I only had about three hours before I had to leave town again so I didn't even have time to oil them up. I am looking forward to getting back and spiff in them up a little. :D

I posted this Empire in a thread by itself long ago but never put it here where it belongs... called a Large Bullhead in the 1927 catalog cut where Beechtree was very kind to post the background (here's the link with more photos to original thread http://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/kni ... ad#p494924) - interestingly it had a pattern number on the back of the master blade tang - 066S ... I originally called it an equal-end jack which I imagine is correct but guess Empire had its own name for it - a Large Bullhead :) ... I have more Empires to post but again I am so behind on photos with all going on for me this last year... eventually once things settle down ::pray:: I will start a photo rampage ::facepalm::

Thanks, Greg, yes it is.
The ebony knife doesn't have a number on the pile side Wharncliffe.

Looking forward to seeing yours. ::tu::

Beauties Joe ::tu:: ::tu::

Let's make it a trio - here's an Empire Wharncliffe in MOP - same pattern, shield and knife except the bolsters on mine were different (maybe called pinched - not sure of the right term - to me not rat-tail) - and now we can see each different version with varying covers :)

What other covers did Empire use on these Wharncliffes? Maybe we can get all of them here....

Thanks Greg and Joe ::tu:: ...

Joe - No model # on pile side of tang.... Only my Empire Bullhead Jack has a model # which I believe, though I can be wrong, was later in the production years of Empire...
