It is marked Hibbard Spencer Bartlett, but is missing the "OVB" designation. Closed length is approximately 4 1/4".

Any insight with regard to maker and approximately when it was made would be appreciated greatly. Thanks for looking.
Sorry, I can't help with the info...although, I too would like to know. That is one gorgeous knife!

Hey Jerry, I would think it was made either in the 1910s or 20s Era. Most of the oldest or 1800s era HSB knives were stamped OVB on the tang of master. Also, On your secondary blades is a normal straightline stamping & on the older ones its stamped HSB & Co in a pretty curved fashion. Also note there is NO extra rivot in the back handle which is another clue for age. All these things add up to the latest possible it could have been made is in the 1930s because after that we just dont see all blades stamped knife anymore. Given the fact that its in the Jumbo Cattle knife,,,I would venture in the 1920s Era myself & I believe thats when it was made.
Kindest Regards,
Mark

Man, that's a great one, Keith.
What a fine matchstrike and etch.
They always seem to have such a nice crisp tamp.

Roger you’ve been very busy posting today. I really enjoyed your sleeveboard wittler. I have one by KeenKutter that needs two pen blades to complete it. Hope to find them someday. Steve B.

Keep your edge sharp, otherwise you just can't cut it.

Looking for Carrier Cutlery and early Robeson with Elmira tang stamps.

Two more beauties, Roger! ::tu:: I think the jumbo whittler is a fairly rare pattern? Very interesting deep swage and short match striker pull.
