Another dandy, in mint condition.
Just curious, were you and your dad involved in Scouting?

Those are wonderful examples of Scout knives.
Re: The All Scout Knives Thread
I was a cub scout way back in the 50's …. but that's the extent of my Scouting... Dad liked knives.. among other things... Thanks KenMumbleypeg wrote: ↑Tue Apr 21, 2020 4:04 pm Another dandy, in mint condition.

Here is an older KABAR sheath knife. Has the scout etch on the blade and the sheath looks to have the BSA Logo embossed in it too but it is hard to tell precisely what it is.

Nice job. Do you have any in-progress pictures? Would make a good thread in the repair and restoration forum here so others could see how you did it.

Re: The All Scout Knives Thread
Here are a couple other pictures Ken.I used some brown fiber board (not sure that's what it is actually called) and cut to fit, then got some wood molding at Lowes and cut to size and glued them to the board.I should have made them a little thinner as some of the wider Scout knives wont fit in every slot.I cut the blue cloth extra long and used spray adhesive on the board ,I sprayed three sections at a time and used plastic straight edge to fit the cloth.I figured it was much easier to build a removable insert than try to attach everything to the box itself.

Nicely done, and thanks for the tutorial. I have an old countertop standing Remington cabinet that was gutted when I got it. It still has the shelves and the glass is intact, but the display “board” is missing. Been looking for one similar so I can see how it is supposed to look, so I can try to restore it.

Great looking Scout knife box rehab, knifegnome!
I saw this 5 bladed (yes, it has the Phillip's driver) Imperial with a BSA shield in Dale's (Orvet) knife store and I couldn't pass it up. The perfect pocket size at 3 3/8" and I'm not touching the near perfect patina on this one, I even love the dye of the Delrin. A winner in my book, thanks again Dale.

I purchased this utensil kit last week. It hasn't arrived yet. It's easier to post the link to where this item is currently pictured, described and discussed. So please click on the link (it's safe, it's AAPK) and see this kit. When the item arrives and questions are answered, I'll post pictures in this thread. I've posted one picture below.

Skip was kind enough to point me to this thread & as a reward Skip, I took some new pictures of it.
I am wondering how old this Cub knife may be. If anyone knows approximately what time frame these were produced, I'd appreciate the info. Thanks in advanced!
Hope you all enjoy the pictures & thanks for looking!

I think the Camillus Long Line with the Blocked Italic or Canted Letters were from the 1970's until around 1988. Here is a guide I found here on AAPK.

Thanks guys!
I didn't even think to check the "Research" part of the AAPK. It' a 70's - 80's Tang Stamp. And now I know.

I have figured it out Skip! It must be a "72"!
The Lord works in mysterious ways!
I must be more specific when I pray. I kept praying for a Camillus "72". l forgot to say "Whittler".

Better be careful Tom. The purists freak out when you call a CAMILLUS 72, a "whittler." That's why I use quotation marks, because the CAMILLUS 72 isn't a "true whittler."TPK wrote: ↑Mon Jun 08, 2020 8:31 pmI have figured it out Skip! It must be a "72"!
