I picked up this 3 blade, tip bolster Scout type knife a while back. No markings anywhere on it. It is 3 3/8" closed and is in good shape. No evidence of having a blade etch, but has "Scout" stamped on the shield. The can opener reminds me of the ones used on the Utica scout knives. Who might have made this one?

Here is a curious Ulster that I just got. I believe the secondary blade is a replacement and maybe even the main blade, not sure? I bought it for the etch. Says Ulster Scout inside of a banner. I think I remember seeing that etch before but can't for the life of me remember where or when?

Has anyone seen that etch? The pattern number on the back of the main blade is 2502. Does anyone have a catalog that shows that? I asked Neal and he could not find any info to match.

Thanks Mike

I have the 4 blade version with that exact same blade etch , I believe it to be pre official , before Ulster was given the rights to make an official scout . Early knife teens or early 1920s .

Would anyone have an educated guess as to how old this knife is? It's crazy to me how it is seemingly unused.

Agreed it's a Schrade Cut made knife, but after 1940.It is not an E.C. Simmons era Keen Kutter,Shapleigh acquired trademark in 1940.Very nice knife! ::tu::

A quick question about the common Ulster USA Official Scout knife (round shield). Some have a brass central liner while the one I just picked up has a steel central liner. Does this indicate a specific age or ??
Thanks in advance for any information.
