Really nice Darell

... Not sure of the box with the knives - best I can see from what is showing in photo are the knives were Russell "The Boy of America" cast iron mini-barlows but not sure of connection to box unless I am missing something which is possible

This is the original box for the dozen boy of America knives. Those were made for Russell by J Ward. If you look at the old Russell catalog you can see that J Ward made carving sets for Russell The number on the end of the box is 16. It is all original. A rare find

Never knew that J Ward made the "Boy Of America" metal knives for Russell. I learned something today.

Finding an old, original stock box with all wrapped knives inside is the pinnacle of "The Hunt".

One having a full dozen knives, as opposed to the more common "1/2 Doz" boxes, even more so.

Interesting but now that I searched out J Wards it was further referenced to Altas Works... but each reference suggests that they were part of J Russelll & Co in Turners Falls MA - perhaps that explains why there is no Russell tang stamps on "The Boy of America Knife"... either way as I said before and to echo Charlie - the ultimate in the "hunt"

Man Darrell you have some nice ones!!

Here is an Ulster button box with 2 Ulters on it and an older Electric Cutlery spring top with an old Electric Cutlery gunstock 4 bladed pen knife. That's what Levine calls it anyway.

Darrell has some of the best Barlows that I have ever seen, including some that used to belong to me. The box of J.Ward Barlows really rocks my boat!

Well I finally feel comfortable posting this as something that I own. A Case knife box from 1920-40the tested era. More specifically June 18, 1937 as is stamped on the bottom of the box. And of course it came with two 8360sc's as shown.
